Late Post - Better Late Than Never! News From Cherryl AND Maria today! I heard from both Maria and Cherryl (Maria's mother) today. Maria emailed and said she's sore and could use lots of prayers, so lets help her out and include her in our prayers. Cherry called this morning but I was out all day and didn't get back till tonight to write. She told me Maria went down once today and had the bike on top of her and had to grab the bike by the forks and throw it off of herself. Not only that but she got sand in just about everywhere you wouldnt want sand to be! I'm sure you get the picture! haha! I'm sure Maria wasn't laughing. Not very comfortable, to say the least! All in all though, things are going about as good as they could be for Maria. She's hanging tough!   All of the top ladies performed very much the same as in Day 1. The intervals between them moved just about the same amount as in Day1. Talk about consistent riding! Puy was assessed penalty points on Day2 for something (not sure at this point what the penalty points were for) for a total of 1min and 10seconds, which reeled her in just a little closer to Jonsson and Maria. Cherryl said that the dehydration Maria was feeling Monday had gone away today and Maria felt much better.  The whole field moves to a new course tomorrow for days 3 and 4. It looks like (from the description) the new course will be much more suited to Maria's riding style. We'll see if that is actually true when I hear from Maria and/or Cherryl tomorrow. One funny note. Cherry told me over the phone that she didn't even know how Maria had done yet on the day, so I read her the Women's time intervals, all information I'd gotten from the Live results page. Isn't technologh awesome! Cherryl calling me on my cell phone in Idaho from Portugal to get the scores in Portugal! haha! Well, that's all for now! Keep checking back! I'll have more tomorrow after day 3!  PS - Check out my alma-mater Boise State Bronco football team on Wednesday night on ESPN! Ranked #6 and still undefeated! I just had to get that in! ;)
