Six Days is over! I can hardly believe it! The 2009 International Six Days Enduro is now in the books and Maria... pressed on smoking a few laps on the final days motocross test placing 3rd on the day. It was quite tense because we knew Maria had to have a good score on the motox test to hang on to 2nd overall and while Maria is amazing on a bike, motocross is not her specialty. She ended up doing exactly what she needed to! Her strong performance in the final test earned her another well-deserved 2nd place overall in the Women's Cup Class and a SECOND consecutive International Six Days Enduro GOLD MEDAL! Congratulations Maria!!!  The Women's Cup Team of Amanda Mastin, Lacey Jones, and Maria Forsberg perservere and make a strong 4th place finish overall in the Women's World Cup Team Competition. For each of these ladies to keep chugging away for 6 straight days of fatigue, exhaustion, mechanical nightmares, bumps, bruises and scrapes to complete this event is just amazing and inspiring. To keep pushing to the end when their bodies and their machines are trying to force them to quit says volumes about each one's character.
